Helldivers 2 has officially moved from GameGuard to Easy Anti-Cheat. The switch is meant to improve security and avoid the compatibility headaches GameGuard has caused for some players since launch.
Easy Anti-Cheat is common in big online games and tends to be less intrusive, so many players see this as an overdue upgrade.
For most Helldivers nothing changes day to day. You'll just see a different launcher splash on startup.
